As the current applied technology of polishing materials has not yet reached a high level, the workpiece to be polished and the polishing material itself are still the main factors affecting the polishing quality. A high-quality workpiece to be polished is a prerequisite for obtaining a good polishing effect. If there are impurities in the workpiece to be polished, no matter how good the polishing material is, it is impossible to achieve the desired polishing effect.


However, the role of the polishing process in the application of polishing materials can not be underestimated. During the mechanical polishing process, the surface of the workpiece will generate a lot of heat, internal stress and other additional effects due to friction and collision. This will also have a certain impact on the polishing effect of the polishing material. The surface of the workpiece after electrolytic polishing is more difficult to polish than that after mechanical polishing. This is because a hardened layer will be formed on the surface of the workpiece after electrolytic polishing. The workpiece itself is also hard. If the hardened layer needs to be removed, a rough grinding process is required to provide processing conditions for the subsequent polishing materials.
